22/10/2006 MICROBIOLOGICAL TESTS This is to infor that microbiological tests were conducted on the above appliances with positive results. The tests were carried out in two steps: first, three different surfaces were contaminated with various bacteria families. The test surfaces included: glazed gres (to simulate hard floor surfaces), stainless steel (to simulate kitchen surface. i.e. sink, oven, hob, etc.), teflon (to simulate plastic surfaces in general). Secondly, each surface was steamed and then vacuumed. Analysis carried out after the surfaces were cleaned with our appliances gave positive results throughout. In most cases, all battery colonies were successfully removed. This may generally, though ionappropriately, be referred to as sterilization.
