This is to inform that microbiological tests were conducted on the Capitani appliances with positive results.
The tests were carried out in two steps: first, three different surfaces were contaminated with various bacteria families. The test surfaces included: glazed gres (to simulate hard floor surfaces), stainless steel (to simulate kitchen surfaces. i.e. sink, oven, hob, etc.) teflon (to simulate plastic surfaces in general). Secondly, each surface was steamed and then vacuumed.

Analysis carried out after the surfaces were cleaned with our appliances gave positive results throughout. In most cases, all battery colonies were successfully removed. This may generally, though inappropriately, be referred to as sterilization. The correct term for all our appliances is, however, sanitization.

• Treatments on gres were found to be fully effective on all test strains.

• Treatments on stainless steel were found to be fully effective on all strains except
Saccaromyces and B. cereus.

• Treatments on teflon were found to be fully effective on Pseudomonas and E. Coli only.

• Treatments on stainless steel were found to be fully effective on all test strains.

• Treatments on gres were found to be fully effective on Saccaromyces, E. Coli, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus, while low counts of Pseudomonas and B. cereus remained on the surfaces.

• Treatments on Teflon were found to be fully effective on all trains, except B. cereus.
